This has nothing to do with discrimination, it's just a fact that fair skinned people are more suseptible to sunburn and skin cancer so why should they be standing out in the sun while the darker skinned people are in the bus shelter? My daughter has dark skin and she never burns but I have fair skin and I burn in minutes.
Shouldn't fair skin people have first dibs on the shaded areas of the bus stop?
Why not just have the city plant more trees so everyone could have shade? If we work together we can make a difference! Plus it's good for the environment and will beautify the neighborhood and keep the whole town cool in summer!
Shouldn't fair skin people have first dibs on the shaded areas of the bus stop?
You know, if everyone thought about the world the way you just did, we would stil have slavery. So are you saying that since African American people are dark skinned they should work out in the fields rather than the Caucasian people? Or maybe you could come to a more modern approach to your question and just use sunscreen!?
Reply:Well, I see your logic but you don't really have a point. The tables are not as uneven as you would imply. If you wear sunblock regularly, you would actually be even more protected than dark skinned people...in which case you should be in the sun and they should be in the shade....according to your logic.
Reply:IGNORANT!!!!! i hope you burn burn burn !!!! and i hope you dont pass your uneducated ignorance onto your poor children
Reply:no, i dont think so.
wear sunscreen!
its first come first serve!
Reply:Dark skinned people can burn too. To be fair, maybe you should get to the bus stop earlier and get a shaded spot.
Reply:Everyone is susceptible to skin cancer, and everyone gets hot and would enjoy the shade.
Since you know in advance that you have sensitive skin, you can prepare by bringing a sunshade and sunscreen.
Reply:i have red hair you should take your own shade
Reply:oh how simple-minded are you????? get some sun screen you stupid *****!!!!! or just stay your *** out of the sun, its first come first serve dammit but if you have a problem with it, buy a car!!! i am offended by that question
Reply:Wear sunscreen and a hat. Other than that if this really is an innocent question get a car or try avoid being in the sun when it is too hot....FYI...dark skinned people are just as susceptible to sunburn and skin cancer
Reply:yes of course, you should be very determined and firm in squeezing your bod into the shaded area and say ..."excuse me please, i need to be in the shade as I have a skin condition" ...that's all, I know the dark skinned ones will understand.
Reply:Everyone is equally suseptable to suncancer. Please don't make assumptions. That being said take a look at other factors. The chairs are under the shade at the bus stop so children and the elderly should get them. Whoever gets their first, rather then some skewed point system. And quite simply, wear sunscreen if you are that worried about your health.
Reply:I believe in "First come, first served." If you burn easily, invest in some good quality sunblock. Either that or buy a car and stop taking the bus.
Reply:Such an absurd question. If you're so concerned about sunburn in "minutes", wear a sun block lotion at the bus stop!
