Skin getting white. Need help.?

My sister-in-low's skin getting white. Her normal skin is dark brown. Now she is 30 years old. At 20 years of age some portion of her leg skin started getting white. That was the starting, now it affected here chest, arms etc. Slowly it will increase. There is no itching, pimple or anything. Because of this problem she didn't marry till now. Friends CAN YOU HELP HER WITH ANY SUGGESTION. ANY MEDICINE YOU KNOW. PLS

its some kind of skin cancer cant remember the name, you should go to a dermatologist.
Reply:If she hasn't been to the doctor already have her go, there is a cream that they put on people that can stop that I can remember exactly what it was called but it was kind of like a rash that needs a steriod cream but it helped my friend. It also had something to do with the sun. Sorry I couldn't help more.

Reply:It is vitiligo and will continue to develop. What is essentially happening is that she is losing pigmentation in patches of her skin, resulting in the albino spots. She should stay out of the sun, since the albino skin burns easily AND the brown skin will tan, making the white spots stand out more.





The condition is hereditary. There are no viable creams or treatments to "cure" this disorder but there are some which negate its effect (like makeup). She will want to visit a dermatologist at some point for consultation. If it is really bad, there are some surgical avenues.
