Skin whitening?

I'm an American and I'm married to a Filipina. My wife has cinnamon color skin and I love it. Filipinas are beautiful women and skin color as well as eyes, hair and nice figures all make it happen. Why do some Filipinas want to lighten their skin? Maybe it would apeal to Filipinos but I personally think it makes them look sick. Sorry.

Most people are attracted to the opposite. A lot of people who have lived in a place with dark skinned people are going to want to have light skin because its exotic. Same with pale people they want to have an exotic tan. Its just how some people think.

Reply:It's no more diffrerent than fair skinned people wanting darker skin. Why is okay for one and not the other? since she is your wife, talk to her about it. Respect her desires and she might also respect yours. Somewhere, you should arrive at a compromise.
