Black is beautiful first of all :) Bleaching cremes work but as soon as you stop using them your skin is going to start getting discolored and messed up. The best thing to do is ask your general doctor he/she will know whether you need a dermatologist or not. Hope that was helpfu.

michael jackson is the first thing that comes to mind
Reply:Just let it go darker. There's no good reason to use lightening/whitening stuff. At all. Most creams are unhealthy to your internal organs.
Reply:try using lemons, honey and cucumbers, i heard that works
Reply:A dermatologist is your best bet
Reply:Don't listen to what people say. There's nothing wrong with using skin lightening cream. You don鈥檛 see all the millions of people who tan, being chastised for wanting to change the color of their skin. You're the only person who has to live with yourself everyday. And as long as you're not trying to change who you are, then there's nothing wrong with it.

I've personally used lightening cream for a scar I have on my leg. You have several choices. You can buy skin lighteners over the counter or either you can get them prescribed by a dermatologist. Over the counter brands such as Ambi and Nadinola are very affordable. ($3-$5) However, they are the weakest in strength. They only contain 2- 4% of the active ingredient Hydroquinone. So they do work, but they don't give you maximum results and it takes continuous use before you see results. (Usually 2 months)

Your second choice is to go to a dermatologist. They can give you a prescription of skin lightener with a higher concentration of Hydroquinone. They will assess your condition and determine the strength you need. Usually they prescribe Hydroquinone in 5-10%. (I was prescribed 8% for my skin condition) Prescription Hydroquinone works much faster and gives you better results than the over the counter brands.

And your final choice is a skin lightener called Benoquin. Benoquin is probably the strongest skin lightener available on the market. Its most common use is to treat Vitiligo. (The disease that Michael Jackson claims to have) However, it鈥檚 very hard to get, because it is usually only prescribed for extreme skin conditions. Benoquin works by destroying the melanin in the skin and its effects are irreversible. And, like Hydroquinone, after using Benoquin you have to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight.

Explore your choices and see a dermatologist so that you find treatment that will benefit you the most.

Good Luck
