Really dry skin?
i had the same problem with the dry skin and everyone kept telling me to exfoliate so i was exfoliating 3 times a week and using a moisturizer. but the problem wasnt needing to exfoliate. it was needing to hydrate. i started using MAC creamwash everynight and putting on MAC moisturizer afterward. i also put a light coat of the moisturizer on before applying foundation so ur skin soaks up the moisturizer instead of the foundation.

Reply:Before I put my makeup on I always put on a moisturizer that doubles as a sunscreen on my face.

At night when I'm taking my makeup off I wash it with a cleanser that's specifically for dry skin and exfoliate all the dead skin off with a light scrub. I moisturize again before I go to bed.

It is important to moisturize and exfoliate your skin so you don't get that flakey look when you put your makeup on. It works for me.

Reply:Dry skin problems respond well to self-care measures, such as using moisturizers and avoiding long, hot showers and baths. If you have very dry and scaly skin, your doctor may recommend you use an over-the-counter cream that contains lactic acid or lactic acid and urea.

In a more serious skin diseases, such as ichthyosis or psoriasis, your doctor may prescribe prescription creams and ointments or other treatments in addition to home care.

Dry skin leads to dermatitis, which causes red, itchy skin. In these cases, treatment may include hydrocortisone-containing lotions. If your skin cracks open, your doctor may prescribe wet dressings with mildly astringent properties to contract your skin and reduce secretions and prevent infection.
