Is fair skin or tan skin better on a redhead?

Is there anyone in the world besides me who prefers fair skin to a tan? Not for everyone of course, but for redheads, does anyone like pale skin better?

The fake tans give the skin a bit of a light-orange hue anyway. :)

Not necessarily. I think girls with strawberry-blonde hair are sexier when they are tan. Girls with just red hair usually look better paler.

Reply:Tan brings out the freckles, which some like and some don't like. Not too many redheads have the real creamy complexion that looks good pale, though.

Reply:i like my fair skin, sometimes. During the summer, i keep my skin at a nice light tan. Fake of course. I cannot tan if my life depended on it.
Reply:I'm a redhead who is literally unable to tan. Even if I could, I think it's better to be pale than to risk getting skin cancer trying to get a tan. And since a lot of natural redheads have problems tanning, having a naturally pale skin tone might make you seem more beautiful (like not wearing excessive makeup).
Reply:health wise, fair skin is better. I am a redhead, and I work in the medical field, and trust me......fair skin is much better, cause with redheads, there skin is so fair, that everytime you tan and burn.....you are seriously damaging your skin, and increasing your chances for skin cancer. i have a friend who is a redhead, she used to tan ALOT, and she has already had 28 surgeries, and like 18 of them came back melanomas. She is doing good now cause they caught them in time, BUT she will have scars on her body for the rest of her life, due to the damage she has done. Hope this helps :)
Reply:it really depends on the shade of red. I am a redhead, and am REALLY pale, but last summer I got a great tan, and my hair got a bit lighter. It didn't look bad though. generally, pale skin works best with the vibrancy of red hair.

Reply:Being a redhead, I would have to go with the crowd and say creamy pale. I adore my pale skin, and I have indeed tried self-tanners just to see what they would look like. I must say, they looked pretty darn abhorrent on me!
