Dry skin help?

I just started using this face scrub that is drying out my skin really bad. I usually use some different cleanser but the store didn't have the one I use so I got this one and my mom said I have to use all of it because she's not buying any more until I'm out. Well, I put patrollium jelly on the dry skin and it's making my hair oilie because my hair is getting in it. What should I use for the dry skin that won't make my hair oilie looking? Something enexpencieve!

Thanks
Dry skin help?
mix baby oil with your lotion that really helps me! just go easy on the baby oil! Aveno is the best one I have found to mix it with.

i wouldnt put vaseline on your face!!! that will make it break out! you need a facial moisturizer!
Reply:just buy the new clean%26amp;clear moisturizer they have to a green. one that moisturixes all day and a orange one it is he same. just a different smell.
Reply:Aveno . It is a medicated lotion sold in store.
Reply:Use a moisturizer and don't over work your skin by washing it too much. You're blessed if you can go a day or two without stripping the oils off your skin! That means rinse your face with a mild face wash. You should moisturize twice a day if you are too dry, and don't use the jelly cause that could hurt you!
Reply:Either way I think it might end up costing you (or your mom) more money. It sounds like you need to go back to your old cleanser...talk to you mom and explain that the new one is drying your skin out. Otherwise you are going to have to end up buying a good moisturizing cream to help with the dry skin...good ones are Eucerin, Cetaphil, and Cerave...but this will cost you about $10. The only other recommendation I have it try using some extra virgin olive oil at night if you have some at home already (yes, the kind you cook with)...not a lot...but enought to put a light coating on your face.
Reply:Try diluting your cleanser with water, so it isn't so harsh.
Reply:honey, don't use exfoliator every day. even if you have problems with acne, it's not good for your delicate facial skin.

you do need to scrub off the dead skin cells with an exfoliator (or a wash cloth), but only 2 or 3 times a week.

mostly, you should stick to a soothing, mild cleanser (non-foaming) like Cetaphil or Dove and just use your fingers. massage it in for 2-3 minutes and rinse very well (most people don't wash their face LONG enough - it's not about how hard you scrub it) with warm - not hot - water. then alternate in your scrub twice or three times a week (i use mine on days i want my skin to look extra good). but don't overdo the scrub!

another tip is to put on moisturizer as soon as you finish washing your face - it locks in the moisture. if you wait too long to put on moisturizer after you wash up, your face dries out from the water and cleanser and your moisturizer doesn't work as well.

i think you should pay for a non-irritating, mild cleanser by yourself and get into a routine that you stick to. it will be money well spent in the end! i get why your mom wants you to use up what you have, but it's not good for you to scrub every day! to heal your current dry skin, don't scrub (!) for a week, just use soap and water if you really can't get to the store, and use something like Eucerin severe dry until it clears up.
Reply:Do not put anything with boils or petroleum jelly!!!!! These WILL clog your pores. Instead use the Hydrating Creme Concentrate from Bee-Luscious. It will heal your dry skin will hydrating it. It is NOT a moisturizer. It is a hydrating cream and will hydrate your skin instead of covering up the dryness like moisturizers do.
Reply:if your young you should try clinique 3-step..
