I can't figure out how to get rid of it. I try lotion. I try scrubbing in the shower. I try salt or sugar scrubs. I've tried skin exfoliation with a dry skinbrush my doctor gave me. I've even tried diferent kinds of lotions, and i've also tried doing "nothing" to my skin to see if it was just irritated. my cousins and my sister have the same thing though, so i think its a genetic thing... but there has to be SOME way to help it, right? i've been to a dermotologist who basically laughed at me and said: "yeah, everybody wants perfect skin, but its not that big of a deal, young lady". they are NOT acne. i've had them in the same areas my whole life. they are red dots. i want my skin to be smooth and nicely colored, instead of the backs of my arms and legs to be bumpy and red. help!
Question about skin.... i have red bumps on back of my arms and on my legs?
I've recently had little red bumps on the backs of my arms, and also tried numerous scrubs, washes, lotions, exfoliators, but nothing seemed to work. So I went out on a limb and tried a scrub for hands%26amp;feet and i noticed a difference the next day, plus its much more gentle than the other products i've tried.
The website for the product is http://bfascher.com/product.asp?ID=16%26amp;gr...
Hope this helps!

One are you wearing tight clothing, especially if you get hot and are wearing tight clothing, the rubbing can cause the red bumps.. My son has the same problem. It also could be the detergent that your family uses that irritates your skin in those areas. If that has been the same your whole life.. switch to something with no scent or dyes.. Some is genetic.. Some is also stress related. If you doctor can't help you, look into some alternative health stores and ask them if there is a topical cream or herb you can take that can help with that.. I know eccnasia (sp) is good.. Try some loose clothing and different detergent, or soap you use to wash your body with.. some areas of your body are more sensitve to things like that than others.. Just experiment with things. Hope this helps..
Bacetracin or neosporin on those areas sometimes helps as well..
Reply:I have this too. For years (when in high school) I went to an all girls private school (we wore kilts) and many girls would call me chickey fish (bumps and dots) and we'd joke - I'd laugh along but UGH.. I found the best remedy to be a lufa
and really rubbing every day with a sea salt shower scrub with all natural oils - they aren't gone 100% but they are much better (I use awaken sea salt shower scrub by Arbonne).
Also you can bring it up to your doctor I believe they do have some things to try to help now. So don't hesitate to do that.
